Personal home insurance can be taken out under the WFI Private Plan. Home owners can choose from either the Classic Home policy or the Standard Home policy. With WFI Private Plan you can also combine your home, car, personal valuables and personal accident policies into the one package, which makes keeping track of your insurance much easier.

What covers can you tailor?

WFI Classic Home policy can provide insurance cover for both your home and contents against accidental damage, burglary and theft.

If your home is damaged, WFI will either replace, reinstate or repair your damaged home as far as possible to it’s original condition, or if this is not possible, we will pay you the reasonable cost to do so, up to the sum insured.

When you select the latter, your home will be repaired, replaced or rebuilt, or we will pay you the reasonable cost to do so.

Flood is included up to the sum insured of the building and contents unless the choice to opt out of Flood cover has been taken

If you take out building and contents insurance under this policy you can take advantage of the following additional benefits;

Up to $5,000 or the limit of the card for the fraudulent use of credit or cash cards
Up to $2,000 towards deterioration of food due to the breakdown of refrigeration or failure of the electricity supply
Up to $5,000 towards the repair of an appliance damaged by burning out by electrical current
Up to $5,000 for guests' property which is accidentally damaged or stolen
Up to $10,000 for carpets and internal window coverings where you have insured 'rented premises'
Up to $10,000 for legal costs
Up to $2,000 towards fees and charges you incur to discharge a mortgage on your home where it has been destroyed
Up to $1,500 for the theft or destruction of plants, shrubs and trees
Up to $5,000 towards storage of contents if your home is uninhabitable
Up to $2,000 towards replacement keys and locks
Up to $30,000 towards temporary accommodation or loss of rental income if the building is uninhabitable
Up to $2,500 for damage to fixtures and fittings belonging to your landlord.

You may choose to insure your home and contents under WFI's Standard Home policy. This policy insures you against physical loss of or physical damage to your home building and contents caused by a number of defined events. These include fire, lightning, burglary, theft and storm. There are some types of dwellings and circumstances that are more suited to this type of insurance cover.

Flood is included up to the sum insured of the building and contents unless the choice to opt out of Flood cover has been taken.

We will automatically increase the sum insured for your building and contents to allow for inflation.

WFI can provide insurance for Personal Accident and Illness or Personal Accident only. Cover can be arranged for 24 hours or leisure hours only. There is a choice of indemnity periods, either 52 or 104 weeks, plus with flexible waiting periods.
